Hotel TurpinHotel Turpin was located at 17 Powell Street, near Market Street, facing the Powell-Hyde cablecar turnabout. For a time it played host to Paul Whiteman and his orchestra. It is now the Powell Hotel.
Loew's Theatre [SFPL]Loew's Warfield Theatre is on Market near Eighth Street. It is still an active theatre, used mainly for live performances. The motion picture San Francisco debuted there in 1936.
Shuter StreetThis is an erroneous reference to Sutter Street.
