Hotel Turpin

Hotel Turpin was located at 17 Powell Street, near Market Street, facing the Powell-Hyde cablecar turnabout. For a time it played host to Paul Whiteman and his orchestra. It is now the Powell Hotel.

Loew's Theatre [SFPL]

Loew's Warfield Theatre is on Market near Eighth Street. It is still an active theatre, used mainly for live performances. The motion picture San Francisco debuted there in 1936.
