British Flagship Due In Harbor Saturday
H.M.S. Raleigh, flagship of the British Bermuda fleet, will arrive from Vancouver Saturday moring,
it was announced yesterday at twelfth naval district headquarters. The vessel will remain here
until January 21, when she will sail for Monterey. Elaborate preparations are now being made
by local naval officials and members of the British colony for the entertainment of Vice
Admiral Sir William Pakehan, commanding officer of the cruiser, and his crew. The visitors will be
the guests of honor at a banquet and ball to be given Monday evening at
Eagles' hall
by members of the American Society of British War Veterans and other British-American
organizations.
