Feb. 14th. Warm and bright. Lela and Mrs. Clark went down town but only
stayed a little while. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Bickford came over
for the evening as we had called them up by phone.
Feb 15th. Weather fine. Father, Claude and Mrs. Clark and myself all
went down town for a couple of hours. Went to Post Office and got some
mail. Evening, Mrs. Clark has gone over to the Montgomerys and we are
all writing letters.
Feb. 16th. Bright and warm. Mrs. Clark went over to Pasadena with her
friends for the day. Father went out and saw Joe Lally's friend at the
Gates Hotel. Then after lunch we all went and left him to see Dr.
McNaughton at this office, and we drove around a little and came home.
Feb. 17th. Weather dull. All went to market and got supplies. Then I
went back to Dr. McNaughton's with father and Mrs. Clark and Lela went
shopping. Then father had to go back to the Drs. office to meet the
nerve specialist, and did not get home until seven o'clock. Then after
tea Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery came in for the evening.
Feb. 18th. Dull and cool. Chas. went to have blood test taken and he and
Claude were down all forenoon. Came home and we had lunch and started to
go to Alambra to see O. D. Casselman from Chesterville, and as we went
down the steep hill there was a street car coming each way and Claude
did not see the one on his right and struck the car and broke the wheel
off of our auto so they took it to a garage and we came back home and
was in all day.
Feb. 19th. Went to the Methodist Church to
hear Evangeline Booth
and wrote letters in evening.
Feb. 20th. Rained all day. Lela and Mrs. Clark got up and went shopping
early. Got back about one o'clock and father and Claude went to court
for parking car in wrong place, but both got their money back.
