Feb. 21st.
Cloudy all day. Father had to go to Drs. and Mrs. Clark and I
went down town. Lela was sick. We saw the
Buss'
from Mille Roches.
Feb. 22nd. Rained through night. All went down town. Came home had lunch
and went to Alambra to see O. D. Casselman, then on to Pasadena and went
to the Ostrich Farm and all enjoyed it and got home about six o'clock.
Feb. 23rd. Cloudy. After lunch went to Lincoln Park and Mrs. Clark and
Claude went through the allegator farm, then on over to
Elysian Park
and over the mountain and had a lovely view of the city and gardens and home
about five o'clock.
Venice Calif. (Street canals
after Venice Italy)
Feb. 24th. Raining. We left about ten o'clock and took our lunch and
went to Del Ray beach and on to Venice and Ocean Beach and Santa Monica
and home about six o'clock. Father got some stones and we enjoyed the
drive very much.
Washington Boulevard Homes, Los Angeles
Feb. 25th.
Bright and warm. Went to Venice and on our way out saw Barnes
Winter home for their circus. They were just getting ready to start out
on their Spring and summer tour. Saw
Goldwyn
moving picture studio and they were taking
pictures.
At Venice took in the
midway
and Mrs. Clark,
Lela and Claude had a ride on some kind of
electric travelling chair cars
and saw the
train cars
running on the cement sidewalks, like on
postcard, and on to
Ocean Park.
The ocean was beautiful. I took steamer
rug and sat on the sand while the rest looked for stones and the view of
the breakers rolling in and in the distance the mountains with the
clouds floating over the top was wonderful. Came home on Washington Boulevard,
where the homes are lovely.
Feb. 26th. Cloudy and cooler. All went to church but myself. I was not
feeling well. Mrs. Clark went over to her friends and stayed for
dinner, and we all went down to the
Roslyn Hotel.
Feb. 27th. Windy and cold. Father and Claude went down town all
forenoon. Then after lunch Mrs. Clark and Lela went down.
