Los Angeles. March 1st. Weather bright and beautiful. Left at eight o'clock and motored twenty miles to San Pedro, where we took the boat Avalon for the Catalina Island, and had a lovely run of about three hours, getting there about half past twelve. Had lunch and then took the glass bottomed boat and went out to view the sea gardens to see the vegetable and animal life a depth of forty feet and then got back and took another boat and went to Seal Rock, where there are a great many seals and also baby seals, getting back just in time, half past three to catch the boat coming back and on the way back saw several whales, spouting water in the air. Landed at six o'clock and got home at seven having a most delightful and pleasant day.

March 2nd. Bright and beautiful. Left about ten o'clock, went over to Pasadena and through the Busch gardens and had lunch in Pasadena. Enjoyed the scenery and also the sunken gardens. After lunch went over to San Gabriel to see the Mission Play and all enjoyed it. Were glad we went. Lela went to shut the door and broke the glass in it. Then on our way home we went through Alambra called to see Mrs. Casselman was and on home and on our way stopped at a grocery and stood in front to wait for Mrs. Clark and father and got pinched so had rather an unfortunate day.
March 3rd. Bright and warm. In afternoon Mrs. Clark, Lela and myself went down to Robertsons and looked around. Went home, had supper and we three girls went up to see the Metcalfs and Gilberts and stayed until eleven o'clock, and then they came down and stayed until twelve.
March 4th. Rather cloudy in forenoon but brightened up at noon. Mrs. Clark, Lela, Claude and myself went down town in forenoon. Home had lunch. Lela was sick and after lunch we went over and got Mr. and Mrs. Buss and went out to see some nice bungalos. Went through two. Home had tea.
March 5th. Bright and warm went to the Trinity Southern Methodist Church and heard a wonderful sermon. Mrs. Clark's friend came over from Pasadena, went to church with us and stayed for lunch.
March 6th. Mrs. Clark, Lela and I went down town in A.M., and stayed for lunch. Father and Claude were getting extra tire and putting it on and had lunch at Y.M.C.A. Mother got her suit. Very warm and bright.
